Kgomotso Mahlong

Back to SAAC team

Growing up in Mashashane, rural of Limpopo, Kgomotso Mahlong ( Founder) was not immune to the challenges faced by many young girls in the area. Even though she was raised in a better condition than most she faced various self-esteem issues. She then developed an interest in reading more about issues affecting young people. It was only when she was 19 while furthering her tertiary level at university of Johannesburg when she realized the true extend of the challenges faced by many people from disadvantaged family backgrounds, problems that impact their physical health and their academics.

Kgomotso( 20) is a big fan of charity work. She believes that success is at it's lowest point when it benefits you alone. She continued saying " I give not because I have much but because I don't like seeing one suffering while I could help. The word of God also says, as I give I shall not lack, blessed is the hand that giveth." Kgomotso is doing her first year in accounting at the university of Johannesburg.
